Thought you had it bad? Take a look at this young guy. He had a father who created a family mess, siblings from two different mothers, brothers who despised him and sent him to a foreign country to be a slave, and he was thrown into prison after being wrongfully accused.
This was the life of Joseph. Though he had every reason to complain and become angry at God, Joseph knew “That the LORD was with him and extended kindness to him, and gave him favor” (Genesis 39:21). We too can take comfort in this same promise of hope that was given to Joseph. God himself has said to us, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).
Though Joseph began his life in turmoil, he soon became the second in command to Pharaoh himself, “Because the LORD was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did” (Genesis 39:23).
Come to Camp Shetek this summer to experience Egypt and the life of Joseph. “So obviously filled with the spirit of God,” he’s not your average Joe.
