There’s Room at the Table
recipes, helpful hints, food for thought, & stories from Mom Judy

Each month I would like to share a few recipes which are either from Mom Judy’s Cook Book or new ones I have discovered. There will also be some helpful hints, food for thought, and maybe even some good cooking stories. If you would like to submit any recipes, helpful hints, or good stories just email them to me and I will put them in this section.

This month I would like to include some pies and sides that go well with the Christmas season. May these recipes complete your table with good eating, great conversation, and grateful hearts!

Making room at the table is a form of hospitality.  1Peter 4:9 says - “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.”  Don’t be afraid to make room at your table.

Recipes

A new recipe I can give you is from my mother, Marian Ouverson Mulder.  She makes the best apple pie (according to our family anyway). I encouraged her to enter her pie at the Murray Co. Fair. I said I would enter the Hershey’s Chocolate Dessert Category. It had to be an original recipe. We made our entries.  She got first place and I did not even place.  I hope you give these 2 recipes a try.
